a return to my journal + ...

Ive returned to my drawing journal... it probably wont be used everyday but i love carrying it around with me...these two pages were the results after sitting alone in a cafe for about an hour and a half last week...

Sia and i did a magazine and sweets swap - which meant i get to read Blueprint for the first time!! And try these wonderful Dutch sweets which could have come straight out of Charlies factory!!!

oh yes, and ive changed my name (blog)!!!

Ive been wanting to change it for so long and it seems too late for a drastic change so i am now called 'hand' .... :)

   hello hand...this says everything it needs to because yours are the source of all the wonderful things you create julie! i was v non-observant + didn't realise until i reached the bottom of your post though! i remember you saying a while back that you wanted to change the blog name...it's a tricky one because i myself often think i wished i chose a different name but in the eagerness to set it up it was all i could come up with : )
   
   so pleased that you're back into your drawing journal...i love seeing your work on squared paper.
   
   enjoy your treats...those sweets really compliment the blueprint cover colours.

   I love your drawings (heehee, Arne Jacobsen chairs rule the world..)It's so much fun to sketch down all the little things around you without the need to deliver a "full" work.
   I have to think about your new name for a while....currently I just miss the second part....it was so common..;))

   A new name, and a grand new name at that. 'Hand' seems the perfect, simple choice. The perfect name for a blog which showcases all your drawings.

   good to know that you returned to your journal. love when you line draw on top of other drawings. have you ever tried to look at the shape or form the whole thing "gives" you? or just look at some details but forgetting about what is contained in the drawing like empty spaces for example? do you see other interesting forms?
