Yesterday, Shelly had a friend round to play and they sat drawing for a while..I love to peek from the side and see what they do while they chat away...and this is what Shelly drew...i instantly fell in love with this drawing...it seems to have such intensity..like she was really trying to say something...look how that tree is firmly rooted to the ground as opposed to the house..so colourful and soaring..Of course, her friend Tomer told her that "you cant draw houses flying in the sky!!" and of course i quickly jumped in and said "its absolutely fine to draw houses flying in the sky!!"
It reminds me of Chagall's paintings...and also made me think of Shelly and how sometimes she seems to be in another world...flying...

December 4th...and no sign of winter! In fact, for the last couple of weeks we have been walking round in T-shirts!! The nights are pretty chilly but the days are sunny with a little breeze!
I am slowly finding a routine with a part-time job from home and the 'handmaid' studio is busy creating new stock to fill my etsy shop for January!! If there is anything inparticular you would like to see in the shop, please let me know!!!

I love mythylogical stories...they make life just that bit more colourful and allow the imagination to go wild! I am a sagittarian, 36 today and although i dont run my life according to horoscopes or graphology readings or the gypsy and her ball...i do like to have fun with some of them!!!
So.... we love the colour purple and red...for me, this is very true...everything i bought, used to be purple but since i became a grown-up i now love blues and green but wear so much red!
We are the fire sign...yep, sometimes you can even see a glimpse of the flames inside...

Our parts of the body are hips and thighs...hhhmm, mine are definitely noticeable!!

I found this picture yesterday - its from my uni days on site for one of the projects... i cant remember where it is or what happened with the project but what a wonderful site..i love ruins, ruined castles - i think its the decay, the history, the mystery - they are like sets in a theatre...i found many ruins on a trip to Ireland years ago (not sure where the pics are) -Here is an amazing link to a set of photos of a beautiful ruined building - once a public bathhouse and then a ballroom which eventually burnt down: burnt sofiensaal-sofiensäle
With the second drawing we started looking at 'shadow'. I showed Yuval how light falls on an object and throws shadows in the opposite direction. She understood this pretty quickly and then went on to add shadow to the bananas.After this we went on to continue with the picture from last week...Yuval took the picture home to finish.

I told her to start by drawing a little still life arrangement i set up..
and that we would colour it with paper...all different kinds..
She started off with a wonderful drawing and i showed her how to cut and tear pieces of paper...and how she could overlap different colours ...
