I found this picture yesterday - its from my uni days on site for one of the projects... i cant remember where it is or what happened with the project but what a wonderful site..i love ruins, ruined castles - i think its the decay, the history, the mystery - they are like sets in a theatre...i found many ruins on a trip to Ireland years ago (not sure where the pics are) -

Here is an amazing link to a set of photos of a beautiful ruined building - once a public bathhouse and then a ballroom which eventually burnt down: burnt sofiensaal-sofiensäle

Happy Tuesday guys!

Hi, I found your blog yesterday, from Luckybeans, and I sat and read the whole thing. It was amasing for me to "meet" someone who is into such similar things. Paper mache used to be my thing, but I find myself making cards now. I still love making paper and working with paper. Although I'm into working with fibres at the moment...spinning, crocheting, knitting etc. But I just wanted to tell you how happy I was to find your blog. I love the art lessons you document. That is such a fantastic idea. I will be happily reading your blog cfom now on.

It would be lovely to go back in time and be in that building when it was in it's full glory.

hi julie! such dramatic images...the colours + textures are amazing. that place must have been so glamourous in it's prime. great idea to photograph the models in that situation...ballerinas always fascinate me + that silhouette photo of her on the rubble is beautiful. x
