Todays lesson began with drawings of a bunch of bananas... i saw that Yuval was looking at the bananas while drawing and then when she had finished the outlines she enjoyed drawing the brown marks on the skin - this she did without looking so much - more a preconceived idea of them. She drew them like a pattern. I think of them as camouflaged bananas!! With the second drawing we started looking at 'shadow'. I showed Yuval how light falls on an object and throws shadows in the opposite direction. She understood this pretty quickly and then went on to add shadow to the bananas.
After this we went on to continue with the picture from last week...Yuval took the picture home to finish.
