A while ago, Jo and I decided to do a swap together and seeing as we both have two little cutie girls, we decided to make something for them and something for mummy too! Today, Jo received my package in Australia, so I can show you what I sent...
Its an idea ive been thinking about for a while - making a series with the idea of 'A is for ...', 'B is for...' 'C is for...' and so on. I thought this would fit in so well for the girls, Beth and Alice. Also, my little boxes fit in well with the idea of a mini installation...

Each box one has a little poem or special quote inside.

This is the flower I made for Jo, made from just paper, wire and glue. It was inspired by Jo's 'yarn flower'.

I really enjoyed making them and making great friends...

Can I just tell everyone that these are even more beautiful in real life! The girls are so excited and hung their little boxes in their rooms tonight before they went to bed. Beth wants to take her's to school for show and tell tomorrow. As much and all as I would love her to, there is no way that something so precious is going to school. We got the atlas out tonight and I showed them where Israel was and how far they had come. And the saddest part of all of this, yes, my part of the swap is still coming. Problem now is, how do I match that? Thank you again Julie. What a generous friend.
