This week wasnt so pleasant but im glad that we have reached the weekend... i still have no artwork to show but soon...soon.. :)

Still passionate about pod forms, today i broke open this old carob pod and look what i found inside... these beautiful little tear-shaped pockets containing long shaped, shiny seeds.

I am thinking about my ceramics class which starts in a month, and how i want to explore these natural forms.

The element of 'compartments' also seems to be related to my love of pods and this idea of Marthas - "we inhabit them like rooms, but in our mind". I love this idea.

wishing you all a wonderful one xxx

Stunning and 'sychronicitLy' in keeping with where my nostalgic turn of mind has been taking me: childhood memories of seeds. Lovely photos. Mel

I just saw these pods yesterday at a funky little store, I didn't know what they actually were.
    Very Cool

This pod is so beautiful, Julie. And perhaps, in moments, where there is not much time to relax, exactly looking at it gives you a moment of "meditation". Filling up the batteries...

so fascinating to see what lies inside of these shapes. i think one thing that always is compelling to me about compartments is the idea that they would be the perfect shape and size for their contents... object and space finding a happy relation... thinking about the idea of inhabiting these spaces in the mind so much too. perhaps i am looking for the perfect spaces for my thoughts?
