I cant believe one year has passed so quickly.. i remember tentatively beginning this blog...wandering where it was going to take me and i had no idea how amazing the journey was going to be. The biggest gratification is the connections with like-minded, fantastic people...how often have i been writing an email or comment to someone, only to find they were writing to me on the other side of the world at the same time. How often have i been thinking about a certain subject and then it appears on another friends blog. When i watch David Attenborough, i think of Gracia and Louise...the colour turquoise makes me think of Kelly. Green pods make me think of Cally. When i think of ceramics, Paula comes to mind. Books make me think of Shari ...and the list goes on...
Each talented and inspiring person in our community seems to have something special and unique to offer, making my daily visits around the world such a joy..
i have made some wonderful, friends for which i am so so so grateful and am really happy that you are all part of my life. Sometimes i feel so frustrated when i cant meet up over a cup of coffee or breakfast ;) but two of my very good friends, from the very beginning of this blog, are planning a visit here later this year - i cant wait to meet them, although i feel like i have known them for years!!
After living here for over 12 years and using little English...my mother tongue has reclaimed its use - (i still get tongue-tied and find it hard to express myself the way i talk to myself in my head!!)
A collaboration is in the works with a much loved and admired blog friend, a few projects are planned and a return to my drawing journal...
Today its friday 13th which i see as good luck...i want to say thank you so much for all of your visits, comments, emails, messenger chats, swaps, presents and friendships...i look forward to the year ahead xxx
The painting above is from a new series available soon...roots, nourishment, home, place... seems fitting :)

OMG I missed my own Anniversary (I had to go check when I read your post, maybe next year...)! I can relate to everything you write, I had no idea what this was about when I started blogging late March last year. Suddenly I have so many friends out there that understand what living with crafts is all about. What a pieve of fabric can do to you and other important things... I've only just "met" you and I already enjoy your company! Thank you!

One year! congratulations! I just started blogging a month ago - it's exactly like you say: the contact with people one would hardly ever meet otherwise via links undreamed off.

I actually dropped by to look at the last day of the colourweek (after getting wind of it via Moonstitches). Of course I am hopelessly too late (as allways) but I have posted my colourweek pics on Flickr: all days in one batch.

Here's to another year of blogging, with just as much fun and inspiration!

    Hej Julie,
I'm a bit late, but wanted to tell you, that you are a real anchor in bloggy-sea. It's peaceful over here and I very much love to visit.
You are one reason that my awareness is back on one theme I was addicted to since my youth:
    Trees!
    Thank you!

how wonderful, sorry I'm late coming to it, this is me just finally getting time to check out your red post and to thank you for inspiring us all to post for colour week.

I've discovered several great new blogs thru you.. hence not having enough time to get back here! But a very very happy blogiversary to you.

I am immensely looking forward to seeing many more posts from you for years to come and hopefully working on something pod-ish in the future when I get to be a maker again!
