...well it seems these last few days out of our routine ...i am lost... also the grey skies and constant rain and a couple of irritable girls due to runny noses and nasty coughs (which leads to lack of sleep for all of us) doesnt help.
Im so craving spring time...but this week we are celebrating tu bishvat - the birthday for TREES!!!! It is the time for planting new trees and for eating dried fruits. I took lots of photos on friday but because of a problem with the memory card, they didnt come out...
I love this holiday...a feeling of hope..the planting of new... i saw an article on the news the other day about the rebuilding of forests up north which were burnt down in the war and by natural fires..there were a million baby trees all lined up...what a beautiful site..a future forest!!!!
In hebrew, the word for tree is ets...i decided that i wanted to be an artist at the age of four after i painted an apple tree in nursery...rami is convinced i was a tree in a former life...for me, the 'tree' represents life...beautiful and complicated...
Of course i wanted to do some drawings for this week but havent had any time and i even forgot to photograph the tree shelly and i built for nursery!
but i can leave you with some flickr trees:

Edit: since writing this post, i just came back from picking up shelly and took some photos of a banana tree...i just love the pod shaped leaf forms and the form of the long stem :)
tomorrow, another birthday...have a bright week everyone :)
