a mixed bag...

A bit of a mixed bag to start the week...
so these are what im working on now.. i love how they look grouped together..thats the idea - they will be small collections grouped together on the wall...flowers, embroidered pieces and drawings...
and another package from lovely Paula...such beautiful music..Thank you!!!!!

i love the growth rings of trees and the idea of them...im doing an embroidery piece with growth rings as part of the above grouping...

we bought a 'hugmug'!!

    Those works look great grouped together, and I went to Max Brenner's for the first time just a few days ago (you can see the cake on my Flickr:), and I LOVED another cup they had. It looks like a regular coffee cup, only it has a double lining, so you can stick a piece of chocolate. I hope that's clear, and if not, you have an excuse to get coffee there! ;-)

    I really love the images you've posted from your sketchbook. Translating tree rings into embroidery is such a beautiful idea! I am an artist and also work with botanical forms....I'm obsessed with leaf shapes...

    exciting wip julie! your boxed work looks great in groups. it'll be nice to see the growth rings piece develop. your studies are so beautiful...can't wait to see the embroidery!

    that hug mug is so sweet :) pure comfort...i had fun looking at the website...sadly for us there is no max brenner's in uk :( makes me want to go & make a hot chocolate right now!! x

    you are right, they do look lovely grouped together. I love the idea of the tree ring embroidery piece so much. There has been much conversation in our car lately about tree rings for some reason. They are fascinating.
