the garden...

Today we took a trip to Jaffa with some friends..we started out at this amazing artists house which is full of his mosaic pieces...i didnt feel comfortable taking photos of his work but this was one of the hall floors in the apartment building where he lives... i love the old tiles that were once used...
then we went on to a place where they make really good humous...

And then the best part... we came across this little garden...

and inside was this amazing tree!!!!!!!!...

look at those roots...
they grow into the ground from the air!!!

definitely highlight of the day!!!!!!

will have to create some art inspired by this tree...

    the colour of those shutters is wonderful and that tree is quite amazing...it looks a lot like the Moreton Bay figs we have growing around Sydney....do you know what type of tree it is?

    Marianne..I dont know what type it is but i looked up the tree you mentioned and it sounds and looks quite similar!
