The theme for the last week of Whiplash is 'Colour'. I love colour, strong, vivid colours - but I went for white.
"consider white light. When shown through a prism, white light separates into red, orange, yellow, blue, green, and purple." William J. Peck
I made a box for putting keepsakes in - special, colourful, little objects.
I made a sheet of handmade paper of different white papers and textures which I then cut into leaf shapes. Each leaf was then embroidered with white floss and beads and buttons were also added (in white, of course!) I then embroidered the word 'pure' onto the cover and sewed the leaves to the painted white box. Although its all white, its amazing how many shades of white there are! I like the contrast between the al-white box and when you open it, you find inside all the colour.
