Feeling quiet this week...but just wanted to tell you about this site - craft synergy - run by patricia...there are some really great interviews of some of our favourite artists over there so when you have some time..check out the archives..and today i am honoured to be featured on the site...:)

so if youre interested...

We have some more trees being created over here with one of my favourite festivals coming up (more on that next week)...

another week begins... hope everyone had a good weekend..we had a wet and windy one...it seems maybe a little of Europes weather reached us...it was great to be at home in the warmth..

And i have some new items in my shop this week... the tree figure drawing series...and a couple of other pieces...

It was so lovely meeting all of you the other day at the tea party and the moment i left Risas place, i became sick with the flu and spent the weekend in bed with a fever!!! Well, i guess it was my turn as everyone else has it here...feeling a lot better today although still have a nasty cough!

Anyway, i spent 3 days doing nothing...except watching tv...martha, oprah, eastenders...and anything else i could find. Im not one of those people who usually takes a nap during the day - it feels like a waste of time to me and always think of something i could do...but this time i decided (apart from having no energy) to veg completely and it was nice to relax and do nothing!!!

So now i have a lot of catching up to do...

Just a little note on the fact that i put a picture of myself up...Steph said it so beautifully and honestly - i love her and feel exactly the same!!!!

finally..we meet! i hope its ok that i bought the girls with me too..shelly wont leave my side until shes found a friend but ella will feel at home and go wandering off somewhere to explore..

oh, Jordan cleaned the apartment i see!!! what a lovely home you have Risa...so you!!!

i'll just put these down...some morrocan bread and some dried hibiscus flowers and mango slices...and tea with louissa leaves from our balcony...

and some chocolate cupcakes...one cannot have a tea party without chocolate

and some lemons freshly picked this morning (from someone elses tree!) to make lemon tea...

wow, so many friends to talk to...but im pretty shy... its so nice to meet you in person..although i feel like i know you already..thank you oh so much lovely Risa for the invitation...next time we wont wait so long!!

oh theres Paula, and Gracia and Louise...coming girls...xxx

Just a quick post to say THANK YOU for your amazing response to my new work (and a special hug to Miss Babelfish!) ...your comments, purchases and general support and encouragement is just fantastic and means the world to me...i have spent the last day packing and packaging and sending off some parcels and working on some new and finishing off some others... and we are all at home sick..would like some of sharis quiet...

cold and raining...and wishing chocolate...maybe ill get rami to make one of his delicious cakes...i dont like winter...i cant find anything good in the grey and cold...apart from the trees having a good watering...no central heating in this country...hard to get cozy with ceramic floors...waiting for spring...

inspired by Shari's post yesterday...

i love my girls and having first experiences with them...

i am dreaming of ceramics classes...

i want to be more focused with my work and produce 'to the end'...

i am so enjoying creating for my etsy shop - monday 8th is the re-opening...

i want to feel totally free with a pen/pencil in my hand...

i love the special connections i have with my friends...

i love collecting and using 'found papers' - from the inside of envelopes to ikea instruction booklets...

i really want to work with wire and paper and enjoy detail and organic texture...

i am waiting for spring and its smiles...

i love spending time on my own...

i want to travel...

i am very frustrated by lack of time...

i want to move...

i love our breakfast outings and weekend trips with friends...

i am desperate for my new computer screen...(i cant see anything - problem with the brightness)

i love peeking behind the scenes...

i love lots of side projects...

i am always wanting more...

on another note...thank you for recent goodies in the post from gracia (love this post) and louise for their beautiful lady and from babelfish and her kind gift and for all of the the calendar pages...

...and i have started a blog for shelly's art...still got to work on the graphic side but i love the idea that her work will be documented. Its called 'mine' because thats the meaning of Shelly in hebrew...

We began this lesson with the drawing of a pot..we are now in a routine where Yuval doesnt ask any questions...she knows we start with a quick life drawing with shadow.

I know how much Yuval loves sticking down papers so this week i showed her this picture...

...made from torn pieces of magazine pages. I love how the colours mix and how you can use different shades of one colour to produce light and dark areas. It also gives the idea of mosaic tiles which i will talk to Yuval about in the next session. I told her she could choose something from nature and she chose and drew a ladybird on a piece of A3 paper. She tore up different pieces of red, orange and pink paper and started sticking them on the drawing...

definitely fun and relaxing...
