My background is in teaching adults, and I have heard that children are much easier..not as much baggage so to speak. www.kinderart.com. is one reference I have seen. I saw a site the other day,(I can't remember the name sorry) but they used polystyene trays to make prints from. You know the ones you can buy fruit/veg and meat on. Just wash them and then use a pencil to make marks into (intaglio process) or add string and other flat objects to make a nice raised surface. when i taught art to kids we h...so so so exciting!<br /><br />when i taught art to kids we had parents bring in lots of "stuff" they they thought might be garbarge and we turned it into art... <br /><br />i found it was really helpful to have a theme for the day - like space - or something really specific and then move thru different ways of making - drawing, painting, 3D all related to that theme.
